Using Sabor to Document my Life through Scrapbooking

Hello!!   National Scrapbook Day is this week and I would like to share with you how I use Sabor Papel's beautiful collections in my scrapbooking.   I can't express enough how perfect these collections are for all your scrapbooking desires when it comes to documenting your journey, connecting to your heritage, celebrating your culture, and for preserving your legacy.

Amor Legacy Tag Mini in a Box
Scrapbook minis don't have to just be in the form of a book.  I created this tag mini album for my daughter and her family.

I painted a wooden box I had in my stash and adhered Amor premium card stock inside and out and inked the edges with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.  The Legacy title is cut from Cricut Design Space.  To finish it off in elegance, I added Tim Holtz box feet and recollection corner metal embellishments.

Amor Legacy Chipboard Tags
The chipboard tag pages were cut in Cricut Design Space.  Each one is embellished with the gorgeous images from the Amor Collection.  Since each photo is about the love between family members, this collection was the perfect choice.  I covered each tag with a different designer page.  I also printed the titles from my computer and distressed them with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I just love the rich cultural feeling of these pages.

The photo above shows the back sides of the tags.  As you can see, Amor designs blend so very well with any embellishments from your stash.  The gorgeous  images are perfect backgrounds for your heirloom quality projects.

You Are Loved Hexagon Mini in a Keepsake Box
Another mini I created for myself  is this one that I keep in this keepsake box.  I was so inspired by the Enamorado designer page that I wanted to showcase it on the outside of this hexagon box I found at Michaels.

First, I sanded the box smooth.  After that, I went to work applying paint and ink to achieve the look I wanted.  I did this to the inside and outside of the box.

The photo above shows how I papered the outside.  I also changed out the hinge to a more substantial one.  It is better scaled for the design.

The mini itself is created from hexagon shaped chipboard pieces covered in Amor cardstock.  Each page has a photo frame to provide continuity.  I decided to embellish very simply and let the paper showcase the photos.

I absolutely adore this set because of the beautiful way the Amor collection compliments the photos and the theme of the mini:  LOVE.  It is an heirloom to be treasured for years to come.

Here is a video from my You Tube channel that explains how I made this project.
