If you have arrived from DIY Planner Girls, you are in the right place!
Happy Cinco de Mayo and welcome to my blog! I am Erminda Dominguez, Sabor design team coordinator and social media coordinator for Sabor. I am so excited to share my Altered Graduation Cap using Sabor Papel's paper collection and Craftwell paper crafting tools.
For this project, I used Sabor Papel's Amor Collection, Craftwell's Cut n Boss, folders, and dies, Amor Cardstock cutouts, scissors, Beacon's 3 in 1 glue, double-side tape, gems and sequins from my stash, and metal corner trims from Butterbeescraps.
I began by choosing the designer papers according to my color palette and then embossed them and die cut the corners in the Cut n Boss.
I began to layer the designer paper and added double sided tape to the edges to place the pom pom trim.
After placing the trim, I adhered the other layers and corner die cut pieces as shown in the photo above.
I found the sentiment on google and printed it out from my computer.
I cut the sentiment out and adhered it as shown in the photo above.
Finally, I began to best part of the project: embellishing! I had so much fun adding my flavor (Sabor) to this graduation cap. The following photos show the finished cap.
I love the way this project turned out. It is so vibrant and beautiful, I just had to try it on!!
